So yesterday I decided to play the Skyrim DLC, Dawnguard. As a huge fan of Bethesda games and having played the DLC (more like expansions) for Fallout 3 and Oblivion, I had to get Dawnguard. Wow, I'm pretty disappointed. If you enjoy playing as a werewolf and/or vampire, you might enjoy it more than I did. It's also pretty glitchy.
Issues I encountered:
>I had several never ending loading screens which required me exit to the dashboard and restart the game.
>After killing a certain boss, the 2 NPC companions still thought it was alive (they were attacking the corpse), therefore not completing my quest and requiring me to load a previous save.
>Several attempts to read a book required for quest progress which caused a hard lock up, so I had to cold shut off my Xbox (I apologized to the console out loud, every time).
>When shapeshifted as a Vampire Lord, you can't explore some caves because you float above water and the ceiling is too low.
In order to complete all of the achievements, you need to be at least level 78 (reported) to get a legendary dragon to show up. Since I refuse to use glitches to advance in games, this will be a long level grind. I started the DLC at level 66 and currently 71.
But the most amusing thing (so far) while I'm playing this DLC just happened while farming kills as a vampire. While you are shapeshifted as a Werewolf or Vampire Lord, you don't rack up bounties for killing guards/people. I ran into a wheat farm during my killing spree and spotted 2 guards. I attacked and killed one guard. The second guard turned around and started attacking a little kid instead of me. You can't kill kids in Skyrim so the little girl just cowered while the guard was trying to kill her.

I know it's a terrible phone picture but you can see what's going on. |
My rant to Bethesda: Quit putting resources into an MMO and stick with single player games and make better quality DLC!
So that's my gaming story for the day. :D
