And the rockets Red Glare...

Hey everyone!
Happy Monday... a new week and more gaming adventures to talk about!

New Vegas got the best of me and I just had to take a small break for a couple of days before being able to get back into it. After reading how awful some of the DLCs are and also needing to grind out X damage with certain weapons, it was nice to take a breather. Two days of watching tv shows on Netflix (Pawn Stars is an awesome show!) was all the break I needed... now I'm ready to jump back in the game! Not sure if I'll 100% this game, I'm happy with just finishing up the least stressful parts. I still need:

Fallout: New VegasHardcoreThe Hardcore achievement in Fallout: New Vegas worth 199 pointsPlay the game from start to finish in Hardcore Mode.

Reason I didn't do this from the beginning is 1) I played hardcore on the PS3 version and remembered how much it sucked having limbs blown off and no doctor's bags 2) I discovered a speedrun guide for doing this achievement at around 2 hours time.

Before my short break I finished up the Old World Blues DLC... which I actually found very enjoyable. The dialog was hilarious and was totally worth playing. During one of the quests this happened:

Talk about bizarre! People keep telling me that I should be a tester because I find all sorts of bugs in games, haha. Either that or I'm just cursed. shock

After watching me play New Vegas so much, my bf got a serious Fallout craving so he popped in Fallout 3 on the PS3. Talk about freezing every hour or so! Awful. This happened in his game, made me laugh:

He still won't touch New Vegas, I think he really dislikes Obsidian Entertainment that much.

In semi non-gaming news... on Sunday we were invited to a BBQ from another big gamer pal. I got to meet a couple other gamers and I had a great time BSing about games. At my job, I'm the oddball and people think I'm weird because I love video games so much. It was so nice being able to talk with real life people about a common interest. Probably sounds silly but I had great fun.
Here are the treats that I made for the party, they are cheesecake stufffed strawberries... YUM!

Oh yeah and I made the bowl too. :)

Last week I was feeling guilty about sitting around so much while gaming. I haven't been too motivated to play Kinect, probably because of the hot weather. So I ordered these:

It's an exercise peddler with 10lb ankle weights. You don't sweat much or raise your heart rate, but it does feel good to move around instead of just sitting around. It's easy to manage while using a controller but I noticed myself slowing down whenever I was paying attention to dialog, haha. When the weather cools down I'd like to finish up Let's Cheer! *shudder* and play some more Dance Central 2. It was fun recording myself playing DC2 with my capture card, even posted a few on YouTube, hehe.

So as I wrap this up, I'm starting a new Fallout NV DLC, Lonesome Road. I'm not very far in but I know something big has to happen when the game supplied me with a huge rocket launcher named Red Glare and over 200 rockets. No spoilers please!

How patriotic, lol.

I have a bunch of one month Xbox Live codes that I'm thinking about giving away. Maybe a contest? If you have any fun ideas, let me know!

Cheers!
Oh right a song... my bf and I are going to play Borderlands (JP version) hopefully soon so:

Bring on Borderlands 2!!! clap
