I'm really glad that I had a Windows Phone to keep me occupied during down time. Some of the games I played are really fun!
While I was gone I managed to finish:
Mush (WP) - First game I played as soon as I could turn my phone on after takeoff. It was a short flight so wasn't able to 100% it on the plane but got to it as soon as I could. Love this game, it was nice and relaxing. I like the fact that it's casual, short, and stress-free... as a phone game should be!
de Blob Revolution (WP) - While I was playing Mush, my bf was playing this game. He was telling me how easy (but grindy) it was... it was a dollar so why the heck not. I regretted it the longer I played, haha. Glad that's over with.
The Oregon Trail (WP) - Okay this one wasn't too exciting but it's super easy. I ended up playing it on Ultra Hard mode twice trying to get enough bear and buffalo kills, they just didn't show up for me on easy and normal. So a total of 4 playthroughs, lol.
Civilization Revolution (WP) - Took me a bit to get over the learning curve but once I got the hang of this game it was really easy to just win for the achievements. Perhaps I'll play the retail game now, I liked it!
MonstaFish (WP) - Mostly pretty easy, a couple of achievements got me saying a few swear words. The fish tank mode grind was pretty boring.
Guitar Hero 5 (WP) - Rhythm games aren't my thing... quick time events I'm not very good at. I played this game during the flight back home. Managed to complete it with tons of practice, good thing I love music.
1200 gamerscore while I was gone, not too shabby.
Here are a few trip highlight photos:

Went for a walk on Huntington Beach pier. It was a beautiful day and it was fun watching people surf. |

Sushi is one of my favorite foods so we went to a nice little local place... talk about epic noms and food coma! |

My bf and his brother being silly in the pool. I don't know how to swim so I hung out and watched. |

Had this gem waiting for me when I got home. It's the German version with stackable gamerscore. Bought 2 copies and I can play co-op with my bf. Both of us have consoles for all regions. |
Didn't get through all the phone games I bought for the trip but I'll probably buy and play WP7 games more often now. I am happy to be reunited with my Xbox and controller. :D
Now that I'm home...
Whenever a game requires you to play multiple playthroughs, it takes me forever to 100% it. I just can't play a game again right after finishing it, I need a break. It's probably smarter to play it right away so everything's fresh but I just prefer not to. Eternal Sonata sat at 340 gamerscore for the longest time, lol.
After I got home I felt like playing The Darkness II again and finished up my hard playthrough. It's been a couple months since I last played it. Love this game, even though it's pretty short.
I still need to go back and complete the New Game+ (Hard) for Prototype 2. Might take a break for the rest of the day and continue my gaming tomorrow.
I'm expecting a delivery of Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition tomorrow. I played this day one on PS3 and it was a buggy, glitchy mess so I gave up. Saw the Ultimate Edition for $30 on Amazon, so figured I'd give it another shot. Sandbox RPGs and JRPGs are my favorite genres of video games. Wish me luck!
Probably my longest blog post yet... here's a song to finish it off:
One of my all time favorite songs... enjoy!
