Lunch Date with Dr. Watson

So I finally decided to hang up Borderlands 2 for a bit and play something new. After a week of farming bosses and not earning any achievements it's time to get some points!
If you read my last blog post, I had talked about how my bf's BL2 game kept freezing. Well not too long after that, it froze at the worst time and corrupted his save. He lost his awesome commando and was totally bummed. Don't blame him since now he refuses to play anymore until there's a patch for the freezing issues. Hopefully it'll be fixed before/on October 16th because I'm really really looking forward to checking out the Mecromancer. :D

So today I finally started up The Testament of Sherlock Holmes. I really enjoyed the first one (on 360) so of course I bought this one right away. It's great fun if you enjoy point and click adventure games. During the game I decided to take a lunch break. While I was eating, I noticed where I left off... so Dr. Watson ended up being my lunch date. laugh

(that's vegetable soup in case anyone is curious, hehe) I'm taking a small break tonight and playing X-Blades (JP) since it's a quick 1000.

Two weeks from now I'll be gaming for 24 hours straight to raise money for Children's Miracle Network. I'm suuuper excited! People sponsor me and can request for me to play a certain game for an hour. I stream the event live (on twitch) and will have Skype enabled so people can cheer me on if they like. Sponsors can ask me to do a challenge or just play a certain game for an hour. One friend of mine has created a maze in Minecraft that I must find my through and survive. I always play on Peaceful mode so I'm sure it'll be scary, haha. Someone else suggested I play Fallout: New Vegas to be funny after hearing about all the issues I had last time playing it, lol. Another one is to start a brand new character in Skyrim and start from one end of the map and travel as far as I can in an hour.... so I prepared for that journey yesterday.

Character creation and tutorial takes so long it'd eat up a big chunk of the time slot. No levels gained, I just booked it through the starting enemies and then fast traveled to Markarth as a starting point.
I've raised $785 so far! clap
Here's the schedule: http://vitaminamy.blogspot.com/2012/06/extra-life-2012-chall... Sunday looks pretty empty so far, lol. I'll keep y'all posted with the stream and Skype info.
Here I am with the games people have sponsored me to play so far:

Other games that I'm thinking about playing (outside of challenges) during the event: Borderlands 2, Gears of War 3, Saints Row The Third, Kingdoms of Amalur, Kinectimals, Haunt, uDraw Instant Artist, The Darkness II, Portal 2... if you wanna play something with me or just have a suggestion, let me know! wave
I do this fundraiser every year and it's super important to me to help out the sick kids in need. Red Bull will be required. laugh

Hopefully one of these days I'll work up the courage to try one of these:

I think the Sesame Street is super easy, no idea about Nat Geo.

Okay I should get back to my gaming... the bf and I going to pull an all nighter tonight (adjusting to his work schedule) so after I finish up X-Blades (JP) grinding kills, it's back to Sherlock Holmes. Cheers and happy gaming! toast
(if none of this post makes sense, I blame it being 1:30am) wave
